Andrew: 3 Weeks Old

When I saw Andrew peeking out from his blanket I had to snap a picture. Our little son is growing bigger and developing in personality every day. As the title reads, he just turned three weeks old on Wednesday. I am not going to lie and say that caring for a new baby and trying to keep him on a schedule has been a breeze (ask Marilyn and she will give you an earful).
However, Drew has been a pleasant baby and we are thankful that our Heavenly Father picked him out for our family. I love my son so much and am happy to have the privilege of reading Scripture to him early in the morning, taking pictures and videos of his new discoveries, holding him and seeing his expressions, and, of course, showing him off to everyone.
The only thing that I regret right now is that I am so busy with school and work to be as much help to Marilyn as I would like and as she would prefer. I am praying for God's direction in the changes that I need to make so that I can better support my wife.
As most babies, Andrew is hopelessly addicted to sucking everything he can. We have allowed him to suck on a pacifier some, but we hope to strike a balance so that Drew can be content when he has nothing to put in his mouth. In these early days it is still a work in progress.
Drew is a lot of fun. Even though he does not rock for hours in a swing or play on his tummy for long, he has a great personality already. Though, he definitely has my strong will. He isn't usually passive when he wants or needs something.
Our friends, the Kiems, gave us this cute outfit that we love on Drew. Mare is a sucker for brown in clothes and decor and I have developed a preference for it, too.
We hope that things have been as peaceful for you as possible recently. In our busy world, it is so easy to fill up our schedules with tons of worthless or meaningless pursuits. Join us in turning our backs on the mold that society wants to fashion us in and seek a transformed mind through simple trust and renewing that Jesus Christ brings us through his Revelation (Romans 12:2).The Scriptures show us who God is and what faith looks like. We don't live in quite the same world situation as Moses or Jesus, but the principles, applications, and precepts have not changed. Jehovah and his truth do not change. Our God still calls to each of us individually, seeking willing hearts, true worship, and warm fellowship as we respond to his active involvement in our lives. Only a redeemed life walking with the resurrected Christ can be this satisfying! Now the challenge is to get out there and share the good news with others. -Tim

Cute little guy.
We got rid of the internet so I haven't been on in a long time, but CONGRATULATIONS! I'm so happy for you guys. He's beautiful and it looks like Marilyn did so wonderful during labor. I definately wasn't smiling between contractions with my first baby! Maybe with Asher but that was with an epidural. ;)
You guys are gonna be great parents!
